Surti Singh

Surti Singh is an assistant professor of Philosophy at the American University in Cairo and a visiting scholar at the Institute for the Humanities at Simon Fraser University. She specializes in 20th-century Continental Philosophy, Critical Theory, Aesthetics, and Feminism. She has contributed to GuernicaJadaliyyaAdorno Studies, and The Aesthetic Ground of Critical Theory: New Readings of Benjamin and Adorno (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015). She has essays forthcoming in New Forms of Revolt: Essays on Kristeva’s Intimate Politics (SUNY, 2017) and Subjectivity and the Political: Contemporary Perspectives (Routledge, 2017).
