Orly Minazad

Orly Minazad is a freelance writer and bad cook based in Los Angeles, California. Her writing explores many subjects from Los Angeles’s arts and culture scene to examinations of her personal life growing up with Jewish Iranian immigrant parents, and their love-hate relationship with the United States and premade tea bags. She is a contributor to LA Weekly and Emmy magazine and has shared her personal stories on The Nervous Breakdown, Blunt Moms, and Zócalo Public Square. She has a master’s degree in professional writing from USC and lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
