Michael Beckerman is Carroll and Milton Petrie Professor of Music and Chair of the Music department at New York University. He is the author of six books and also of more than a hundred scholarly articles, most recently about musical composition in Terezín. From 2016–’18 he was the Leonard Bernstein Scholar in Residence of The New York Philharmonic.
