Kristin Surak

Kristin Surak is the Richard B. Fisher Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton and an associate professor of politics at SOAS, University of London who specializes in international migration, nationalism, culture, and political sociology. Her book Making Tea, Making Japan: Cultural Nationalism in Practice received the Outstanding Book Award from the American Sociological Association’s Section on Asia. Her current research investigates both citizenship by investment schemes and guestwork programs across the globe.
