Julie Carpenter, PhD, is a consultant, researcher, and educator on human interaction with emerging technologies, with a focus on human-robot interaction research. Dr. Carpenter has written a book on the topic, Culture and Human-Robot Interaction in Militarized Spaces: A War Story (Ashgate, 2016), as well as published numerous scholarly articles. She is currently a Research Fellow in the Ethics + Emerging Sciences Group at California Polytechnic State University.
