Jenise Miller

Jenise Miller is a Black Panamanian urban planner and writer from Compton. She is a Pushcart-nominated poet, Voices of Our Nations Arts (VONA) alumna, and DSTL Arts Artist in Residence. She recently curated the programs “LA Poets in Place” for The Autry Museum and “Magic in the Streets: The Black Arts Movement in Compton” for Cal State LA. Her writing about Compton, Watts, and growing up Black Latinx is featured in her poetry chapbook The Blvd, as well as in KCET Artbound, Boom California, Cultural Weekly, Dryland Literary Journal, Acentos Review, and PANK Magazine.
