Francesco Giusti

Francesco Giusti is currently a fellow at the ICI Berlin Institute for Cultural Inquiry. After completing his PhD in Comparative Literature at Sapienza University of Rome and the Italian Institute of Human Sciences (SUM), he pursued his research on the history and theory of the lyric at the University of York (United Kingdom) and Goethe-Universität Frankfurt (Germany). He is a member of the Centre for Research in Philosophy and Psychoanalysis Après-coup at the University of L’Aquila. Besides many articles, he has published two books devoted respectively to the ethics and poetics of mourning and to creative and cognitive desire in lyric poetry: Canzonieri in morte. Per un’etica poetica del lutto (Textus Edizioni, L’Aquila, 2015) and Il desiderio della lirica. Poesia, creazione, conoscenza (Carocci, Rome, 2016).
