Chip Rossetti

Chip Rossetti is a book editor and a translator of modern Arabic fiction, including Ahmed Khaled Towfik’s Egyptian sci-fi novel Utopia, Magdy El Shafee’s graphic novel Metro, and Sonallah Ibrahim’s Beirut, Beirut. He won a PEN America grant for his translation of Muhammad Makhzangi’s Animals in Our Days. He holds a PhD in Arabic literature from the University of Pennsylvania and is the editorial director of the Library of Arabic Literature series published by NYU Press.
