Anna Gunin is a translator from Russian. Among her translations are Svetlana Alexievich’s Chernobyl Prayer (co-translated), Oleg Pavlov’s award-winning Requiem for a Soldier, and Mikail Eldin’s The Sky Wept Fire, which won an English PEN award. Her translations of Pavel Bazhov’s fairy tales appear in Russian Magic Tales from Pushkin to Platonov, which was shortlisted for the 2014 Rossica Prize.
