Swagato Chakravorty is a PhD candidate at Yale University, where he is affiliated with the Department of the History of Art and the Program in Film and Media Studies. His dissertation examines figurations of cultural displacement in contemporary moving-image art of the Global South. He has also held curatorial fellowships at the Museum of Modern Art, the New Museum, and the Jewish Museum, New York.
