Sandy Tolan

Sandy Tolan, author of the international best-seller, The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East, is an associate professor at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.  His new book is Children of the Stone: The Power of Music in a Hard Land, about one Palestinian’s dream to build a music school in the midst of Israel’s military occupation.  He is a founder of Homelands Productions, which has produced hundreds of documentaries and reports for NPR, Marketplace, and other public radio outlets.
