Melissa Templeton completed her PhD in Critical Dance Studies at the University of California, Riverside, in 2012 and was the recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellowship. She has taught courses in Dance History and Theory at Texas A&M International University, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and University of California, Riverside and her research has appeared in Dance Collection Danse Magazine and Dance Research Journal.
