Leni Leanne Phillips is completing her MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts in the Palm Desert program at the University of California, Riverside. She is at work on her first short story collection and a memoir in essays based on her experiences growing up in California. She is the blog editor and lead copyeditor for The Coachella Review and a former fiction and poetry editor for California Polytechnic State University’s Byzantium journal.
