She has translated numerous contemporary Italian authors, including Ermanno Cavazzoni, Igiaba Scego, Gabriella Kuruvilla, Zerocalcare, Gipi, and Manuele Fior. She holds an MFA in translation from the University of Iowa and a PhD in comparative literature from the University of Oregon.
