David Shrayer-Petrov

David Shrayer–Petrov, author and medical scientist, was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) on January 28, 1936, and immigrated to the United States in the summer of 1987. He is the author of 25 books, including the English translation of his novel Doctor Levitin. His new play in verse, Vaccine. Ed Tenner, was recently published in Moscow. Shrayer-Petrov lives in Brookline, MA, with his wife, the translator Emilia Shrayer. Maxim D. Shrayer, the author’s son, is a writer, translator and Boston College professor.
