Karen Lord

Karen Lord was born in Barbados and holds a science degree from the University of Toronto and a PhD in the sociology of religion from The University of Wales. Her first novel and second novels, Redemption in Indigo (2010) and The Best of All Possible Worlds (2013) respectively, both won the Frank Collymore Literary Awards. Lord was also nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2012.
