Georges Perec

Georges Perec was an experimental French novelist, essayist, and filmmaker, and a founding member of the Ouvroir de littérature potentielle (OuLiPo). His best known works include A Void (a 300 page novel which does not use the letter "E"), Life: A User's Manual, and Things: A Story of the Sixties.

"A gap will yawn, achingly, day by day, it will turn into a colossal pit, an abyss without foundation, a gradual invasion of words by margins, blank and insignificant, so that all of us, to a man, will find nothing to say."

– Georges Perec, A Void
