Doris Betts

Doris Betts is fiction writer from North Carolina. Is an alumni distinguished professor at UNC Chapel Hill. Her short story “The Ugliest Pilgrim” was adapted into the academy award winning short film “Violet,” and later a New York Drama Critics Circle Award winning musical. Treasured Carolinian.
