Yu Hua is a Chinese author, born April 3, 1960, in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. He has written the novels Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, The Seventh Day, Brothers, and To Live. His work of nonfiction, China in Ten Words, was published in 2012.
