Saadia Faruqi is a Pakistani-American author, essayist, and interfaith activist. She is the author of Brick Walls: Tales of Hope and Courage and of the “Yasmin” early reader series, forthcoming from Capstone Press in August 2018. She trains various audiences, including faith groups and law enforcement, on topics pertaining to Islam, and has been featured in O Magazine as a woman making a difference in her community. She is editor-in-chief of Blue Minaret, a magazine for Muslim art, poetry, and prose. She lives in Houston with her husband and children.
