Ron Chernow

Ron Chernow is the prizewinning author of seven books — including, most recently, the national best seller Grant (2017) — and the recipient of a 2015 National Humanities Medal. His first book, The House of Morgan: An American Banking Dynasty and the Rise of Modern Finance (1990), won the National Book Award for Nonfiction; Washington: A Life (2010) won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the American History Book Prize; and Alexander Hamilton (2004) was the inspiration for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton: An American Musical. Chernow resides in Brooklyn, New York.
