Nigel Cliff

Nigel Cliff is a fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford, and fellow-elect of the Royal Literary Fund. He is the author of The Shakespeare Riots (2007), The Last Crusade: The Epic Voyages of Vasco da Gama (2011), and Moscow Nights: The Van Cliburn Story — How One Man and His Piano Transformed the Cold War (2016). A former theater and film critic for The London Times and contributor to The Economist, he reviews books for a number of publications including The New York Times Book Review.
