Kerry Madden-Lunsford

Kerry Madden-Lunsford is the author of the Smoky Mountain Trilogy, which includes Gentle’s Holler (2005), Louisiana’s Song (2007), and Jessie’s Mountain (2008). Her first novel, Offsides (1996), was a New York Public Library Pick for the Teen Age, and her book Harper Lee (2009) made Booklist’s Top 10 Biographies for Youth list. She directs the creative writing program at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
