Her fourth novel, The Great Man, appeared on the New York Times bestseller list and won the 2008 PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction. Her essays and reviews have appeared in numerous periodicals, most recently The New York Times Book Review, Cherrybombe, Vogue, Bookforum, Food & Wine, Elle, The Wall Street Journal, and Condé Nast Traveler.
