John Howe served as a chief conceptual designer for both of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movie trilogies. He also re-illustrated the maps of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion, along with numerous other fantastical worlds. He is the author of A Middle-Earth Traveler: Sketches from Bag End to Mordor (2018).
