Dmitry Bykov

Dmitry Bykov (b. 1967) is a Russian novelist, poet, biographer, journalist, and public intellectual. He is the author of more than 30 books, including 15 prose publications and 18 poetry collections. His most famous novel, Living Souls (2007), was translated into English and published in 2010. His biographies of Vladimir Mayakovsky, Maxim Gorky, and Boris Pasternak have won wide acclaim. Photograph by Eugene Maysky.
