Claire Conceison

Claire Conceison is Professor of Theatre Studies and Asian & Middles Eastern Studies at Duke University.  A director, translator, and scholar, her publications include, as author,  Significant Other: Staging the American in China (Hawaii, 2004), as co-author, Voices Carry: Behind Bars and Backstage during China's Revolution and Reform (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009), and, as translator, plays byNobel Prize winner Gao Xingjian (Ballade Nocturne, Sylph Editions, 2010) and Meng Jinghui (Longing for Worldly Pleasures and Other Playsforthcoming).
