Carlo Rotella is the author of Playing in Time: Essays, Profiles, and Other True Stories, and Cut Time: An Education at the Fights, among other books. He has been a regular contributor to The New York Times Magazine since 2007. Carlo was educated at the University of Chicago Lab School, Wesleyan University, and Yale University. He is professor of American Studies, English, and journalism at Boston College.
