Ava Chin

A native New Yorker from Flushing, Queens, Ava Chin is the author of Eating Wildly: Foraging for Life, Love and the Perfect Meal, which Vogue named one of “Spring’s Best Food Books” and Kirkus called “A delectable feast of the heart.” Her work has appeared in The New York Times (as the “Urban Forager”), the LA Times Magazine, the Village Voice, Saveur, and Time Out New York, among others. An associate professor of creative nonfiction and journalism at CUNY, she lives in Manhattan with her husband and daughter.
