Ananda Devi

Born in Mauritius in 1957, Ananda Devi is considered one of the most prominent writers of the Indian Ocean. She has published 12 novels as well as short-story collections and poetry. She has been translated into several languages and has received prestigious literary prizes. She was made Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government in 2010.
