Alan Jacobs

Alan Jacobs is distinguished professor of the humanities at Baylor University. He is the author of several books, including A Theology of Reading: The Hermeneutics of Love (2001), Original Sin: A Cultural History (2008), The Pleasures of Reading in an Age of Distraction (2011), and The Year of Our Lord 1943: Christian Humanism in an Age of Crisis (2018).
