Héctor Tobar is a Los Angeles writer and journalist. In 1992, He won a Pulizer Prize in 1992 for his work covering the L.A. Riots for the Los Angeles Times, where he is currently a weekly columnist.

Here, he speaks with Editor-in-Chief Tom Lutz about his latest novel The Barbarian Nurseries.
