Charles Glass, an author and journalist, perhaps best known for covering the Middle East, is a former ABC News correspondent. Born in Los Angeles, Glass was actually on the tarmac to interview the crew of the hijacked TWA Flight 847 in Beirut. He has written five books, including Tribes With Flags: A Dangerous Passage Through the Chaos of the Middle East (1991)and Americans in Paris: Life and Death Under the Nazi Occupation, 1940-1944 (2009).
