Philip Levine

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Philip Levine is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American poet who is best known for his poems about working-class Detroit. He taught at California State University, Fresno for thirty years.  He was Poet Laureate of the United States for 2011–2012.
