In 2013, Stephen Graham Jones will have published thirteen books in the last thirteen years. His short fiction has appeared in Cemetary Dance, Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine, Weird Tales, and a variety of best-of-the-year compilations. He has been an NEA Fellow, a Texas Writers League Fellow, and has won the Texas Institute of Letters Award for Fiction and the Independent Publishers Multicultural Award. Jones earned a PhD from Florida State University and currently teaches at University of Boulder, Colorado.

Not because it would taste good or be filling, but because a little girl, watching her father do that, she wouldn’t say anything, would just watch, her eyes wide with wonder, and she would never forget for however long she’d live.
